In a lush, sunlight filled space, an all-women collective of DJs spun hits and over one hundred women filtered in and out throughout the afternoon. Preacher founder Krystle Loyland and WIE Suite co-founder Dee Poku inspired action and curated connections, as the community sipped, shared and inspired each other.
“One of the things that I’ve learned most from Dee and the community is to act as if! And just get in there. Growing up, I was taught that I was supposed to be a lady and demure and wait my turn. And I think some of the things I’ve learned through other members of the WIE suite and how we’re actually encouraged to behave is: say your worth, ask for help, offer help, get involved," shared Krystle Loyland, CEO of Preacher. "It’s not weird to do deals or confidently introduce someone to somebody else who might be of benefit to them. And these are things that I just don’t think we were taught or brought up to do."
