The 3rd Annual 2M Mentor Minutes Once Again Showed the Power of Community to Raise Up New Leaders

For the 3rd year in a row, The WIE Suite partnered with Diane von Furstenberg for an event bringing together up and coming leaders with established female executives. The event, 2 Million Mentor Minutes, hosted 80 young mentees and a dozen mentors at DVF's studio in Manhattan's Meatpacking District. Mentors included Arielle Patrick, Chief Communications Officer at Ariel Investments; Beth Ferreira, General Partner at Serena Ventures; and Shiza Shahid, Founder & Co-CEO of the Malala Fund and Founder of mission-based cookware brand Our Place. The event was part of a broader day of organizing known as InCharge, an annual event that DVF hosts each year on International Women's Day.

"The best women I know don’t see career success as an end game but a platform from which to do something meaningful in the world, to change the status quo," shared Dee Poku, Founder and CEO of the The WIE Suite, on why she created and built the idea for the mentorship movement. Mentors were selected for their capacity to highlight different ways of success:

  • Diane von Furstenberg – The Visionary | Diane von Furstenberg, iconic fashion designer, founder of DVF, and champion of women’s empowerment.
  • Stephanie Mehta – The Storyteller | CEO & Chief Content Officer at Mansueto Ventures, leading Fast Company and Inc. Magazine.
  • Nancy Twine – The Innovator | Founder of Briogeo, disrupting the clean haircare industry with innovative, inclusive products.
  • Stephanie Roberson – The Trendsetter | CMO at Shopbop, leading growth, strategy, and trend direction over 20 years of experience in retail.
  • ‍Arielle Patrick – The Mastermind | CCO at Ariel Investments, where she leads global marketing, public affairs, and communications.
  • ‍Sofia Hernandez – The Marketer | Global Head of Business Marketing at TikTok, redefining brand storytelling in the digital era.
  • Kyle Leahy – The Chief Executive | CEO of Glossier, leading the next evolution of beauty and community-driven brand innovation.
  • ‍Beth Ferreira – The Investor | General Partner at Serena Ventures, backing founders driving transformational change.
  • Justine Feron – The Strategist | Chief Strategy Officer at Havas New York, leading brand strategy for major clients.
