Hundreds of WIE Suite members gathered together in cities across the country for the Fall edition of its popular Table For Eight dinner series. Hosted by power members in gorgeous home settings, the Jeffersonian style dinners generated even more connection and conversation than ever.
As always, each dinner series has a discussion theme and our Fall theme, ‘What companies get wrong about culture?’ generated robust conversation.
"Culture is something that’s living, it’s not a word. It’s about making it feel like an environment is safe and welcoming, but it’s also not mothering,” shared dinner host and WIE Suite Member Rebecca Minkoff. “People need to stop expecting their workplaces to take care of them like a mother would, but see them as a place for connection and growth."
"The purpose of these dinners is to help our members deepen their relationships and pool experiences and insights. It was such a joy to add new cities Chicago and DC to our roster. The collective intelligence we gather is second to none," said WIE Suite founder Dee Poku.
Held in locations from DC to Chicago to upstate New York, hosts included Bobbie founder Laura Modi, Vanessa Cornell, The New Museum’s Isolde Brielmaier, Frances Valentine’s Elyce Arons, Christina Lewis, designer Rebecca Minkoff, Cindy Gallop, Sienna Farris, Alison Monk, Kim Seymour, Fran Hauser, Melissa Duren Conner, Goop Chief Brand Officer Noora Raj Brown, Syama Meagher Graceann Bennett, Lillian Brown and activist Reshma Saujani.
The night was graciously supported by our partners Aviana (Mondavi), Aplos, Grace Rose Farm and Etsy.
