The menstrual space has become quite hot. Can you tell us a little bit more about what we should be paying attention to in the years ahead?

First of all I see that we are gaining a bigger awareness that the “menstrual” space is actually abou the whole female cycle, and beyond that the whole reproductive system - and arguably even beyond that including wellness and sexuality, research and development in medical products and so on, all included in Femtech. And yes, there is definitely a lot happening in this space! I’m curious about testing and bio markers, tracking and education regarding menopause, endometriosis and I want to see new period hygiene products and methods of contraception.

You successfully made the transition from founder, to CEO, to now Chairwoman. Can you tell us what you learned along that journey?

It felt good to hand over to new leaders that I trusted. I have been very hands off operationally in the two years or so since I changed role. It has allowed me to gain new perspective and see how my experience can benefit the larger eco system.

Do you have advice for would be founders?

Start! You will learn everything along the way. And have the courage to shape your company so that it fit you!

What do you think is the biggest challenge facing women in the C-Suite today?

Their own ideas of what they think they have to do or be. They have more power to shape things to fit them than they think.

To bring their wisdom, also if we get have more language or metrics to support it. Trust what you know you know.

How do you feel about female mentorship?

It’s crucial to do your own inner work. Your own growth will show in the growth of your company. For me, body work has been important to grow as a leader.

What is one trend that you think is going to impact C-level executives in 2023?

Many ideas from the old world - the middle aged white dude in a suit - is changing. We must be part of defining what the new standard is. A new standard that includes care for the planet. Embodiment and relational intelligence are some of the new skills that we need to master as leaders.

Who is one woman you admire?

Anis Nin. She was a writer, a wise woman, brave, am I credible clear thinker and writer. Truly unique. And one of the first to body psychoanalysis- what we would call self development today.

What is one product you can’t live without?

Non fiction audio books :-) the last one was Clitoracy which definitely had some important aha moments I’d love the world to hear!

Clue is currently crowdfunding for the first time ever. And, Ida is writing a book about femtech, leadership and system’s change. I’m still looking for the right publisher and welcome leads.
